| Description:
A Polish SME manufactures 250 types of clutch plates for personal cars, vans, lorries and buses, that can be used in more than 2500 models of cars. The clutch plates are 2 mm thick and 150 mm in diameter and they are made of steel. The firm is searching for technology to harden the surface of the plates while maintaining softer cores in order to increase plate resistance to impact and eliminate occasional cracking of the plates.
