Abstract:

The SPACE MASTER educational aid and toy consist of a set of bars and connecting pieces of which one can compose a spatial lattice (framework) of any shape. It can be made into any plane or spatial geometrical figure, model of any structure or building, a crystallographic model etc. SPACE MASTER can be useful for children as a toy, for teachers as a didactic aid, and for designers of complicated spatial structures. The Polish company is looking for a manufacturing agreement.

Description:

A SPACE MASTER is an educational toy developed by a Polish company, consisting of a set containing 200 bars and 200 connecting pieces made of polypropylene and polyethylene respectively. The bars come in five different lengths - from 30 mm to 80 mm long - applied in the basic set but they may be also cut shorter (with a sharp knife) to obtain other lengths if necessary. The outer diameter of a bar is about 6 mm. A connecting piece is flexible and has from 3 to 8 fingers. To make a truss joint the fingers are inserted into the ends of the bar. Longer bars may be supplied for special purposes. Moreover the number of bars and the number of their lengths as well as the number of connecting pieces may be increased according to individual demands.
