| Abstract:
A small Polish company working in an Upper Silesian agglomeration
offers technology for making dense ribbed ceilings for universal use
(it originally was meant as a solution for replacing ceilings in old
buildings). This technology is less expensive, easier in
manufacture, and assures better rigidity of the entire building
cube. It is also much less dependent of availability of heavy
equipment. The company is seeking partners for a joint-venture
operation or a license agreement. |
| Description:
The technology for making monolithic dense ribbed ceilings was
developed by a Polish company as a solution for the problem of
replacement of the wooden ceilings in old (50+ years) buildings
common in Upper Silesia. Current technologies are a partial solution
since they do not assure proper rigidity of the building. They also
rely on heavy equipment that may have problems reaching construction
site because of densely built surroundings. The idea was born around
year 1980 and evolved to its current (fourth) form. Technology
allows mounting the ceiling with 50% less time and with 30% lower
costs. The dense-ribbed-ceiling technology forces cohesion between
the ceiling's construction elements and boarding while concrete is
being poured. Reinforcement of the ceiling is made using spatial
girder elements joined by screwed connectors. Boarding is made of
arch elements of hat-shaped profile. Screwed connectors join
reinforcement with boarding and create a complete load-carrying
system for the time of concrete pouring. Screws left after
dismounting the boarding may be used for the mount of plasterboard.
This technology also is fully applicable: - As a
technology in the common building industry as a solution for a
ceiling (for houses, flats and alike) - In industrial building
(for halls, warehouses) - In civil engineering
Innovative Aspects: - Girder elements of reinforcement
are connected by specially designed screw connectors that join
boarding with girder structure while concrete is being poured. -
Forced load bearing of reinforcement while concrete is being poured.
Main Advantages: - Shorter construction time (up to 50%
tine saving) - Lower labour intensity - Lower material cost
- Possibility of prefabrication and standardisation of boarding
and girder elements - Repetitivity of structure - Used for
replacing old ceilings - Possibility of eliminating of heavy
equipment (which may have problems reaching construction site)
