| Abstract:
A Polish inventor has developed a new kind of projection screen
for high-quality moving coloured images. The screen is very thin and
based on simple technology. This invention does not use a picture
tube. The quality is better then already existing HDTV sets. The
inventor is looking for industrial partners interested in further
development and practical advantages. |
| Description:
A Polish inventor has developed a new kind of projection
(TV/cinema/billboard) screen, very thin, based on simple technology
(not picture tube). This invention makes possible the construction
of screens for projection of moving coloured images with high
quality, better then existing HDTV (high-definition television)
sets. The offered screen can be very thin, from 0.5 to 4 cm
depending on the selected variant of device. The new screen will not
demand any change in issuing the television signal. Offered
invention makes possible resignation from most of electronic/visual
components inside of the receiver. Advantages over conventional TV
screens are that it saves up to 50% of production costs, and the
receiver weighs about 80% less, which improves reliability and
reduces the price of this device. This screen surpasses CD displays.
This solution makes possible fast production of the article for a
wide range of applications. The device will be completely devoid of
radiations (electromagnetic fields and X-ray radiation). This
invention does not use the complicated angle launcher but could be
able to use traditional luminous surfaces. The inventor is looking
for partners interested in putting this invention into practice.
Innovative Aspects: - Very thin screen (0.5 to 4 cm)
- Free from electromagnetic fields and X-ray radiation -
Picture quality higher then existing HDTV sets - Saving of
production costs, - Reduction of the receiver's weight -
Free from electromagnetic fields and X-ray radiation
Main
Advantages: Primary uses of this device are displays such as
television, cinema and billboards. But these are not the only uses
for this thin projector screen; it can be used when any
visualisation of pictures or information is necessary. |
