| Abstract:
A small Polish company has developed a data logging technology
for industries that need to log high accuracy data in environments
that are not readily accessible to standard monitoring instruments.
The system is designed to transit on the conveyer, along with the
product being processed, through the industrial furnace, ovens,
blast freezers etc., monitoring the product and ambient temperature
without any cables. Company looks for potential applications of this
technology and marketing partners. |
| Description:
A small Polish company has developed a data logging technology
for industries that need to log high accuracy data from environments
that are not readily accessible to standard monitoring instruments.
The system is designed to transit on the conveyer, along with
the product being processed, through the industrial furnace, ovens,
and blast freezers during its normal operation, monitoring product
and ambient temperature without any trailing cables. The data logger
itself is protected from the extreme temperatures of the process by
ruggedized electronics and a ceramic thermal barrier with heatsink.
Selection of thermal barrier is based on the temperature and
duration time of the run. Individual 8 thermocouples connected
to the logger can then be placed into the products so that
temperature information for every moment of the process is obtained.
The temperature history recorded in the data logger can then be
downloaded and viewed with the Windows software. The result is a
very detailed history about what happens to your products during
processing. This system would cost 1,5 - 2 times less than those
currently on the market.
Innovative Aspects: - Very
accurate temperature measurement in severe environment/temperature
process conditions - Sophisticated thermal barriers
implementation
Main Advantages: Relatively inexpensive
solution for this type of measurements and this level of accuracy
